Operations/Governance Consultants | Riyadh | 12-Month Contract

About the Opportunity

Barker Langham are seeking 2 experienced Operations/Governance Consultants to join our talented team in Riyadh.

This is an opportunity to shape the future operating model and governance structure of a ground-breaking museum, working alongside international experts and local stakeholders.

The Role

Working under the leadership of our Governance and Operational Lead and Head of Strategy and Planning, you will:

  • Proactively and independently develop and implement a modern corporate governance model and operational framework
  • Collaborate with legal advisors on frameworks and structures for the governance model
  • Develop guiding principles for the future operating model, based on international best practices and stakeholder input
  • Define a comprehensive museum-wide operating model covering:
    • Core functions (exhibitions, programming, visitor services, collections management)
    • Support services (HR, finance, legal, IT, procurement, maintenance)
    • Back-office operations (security, logistics, infrastructure)
  • Establish governance roles, decision-making processes, escalation protocols and reporting mechanisms
  • Design a modern organizational structure and develop corresponding job descriptions
  • Lead and facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews and presentations independently and collaboratively
What We're Looking For
Essential
  • Minimum 5 years professional consulting experience (ideally more)
  • Proven experience developing operational and/or governance models for institutions
  • Resident in Riyadh with availability to work from client offices as required
  • Professional fluency in both Arabic and EnglishConfident leading stakeholder engagement independently
Desirable
  • Experience in museum, non-profit, academic or service/experience-led institutions
  • Knowledge of Saudi institutional frameworks
Contract Details
  • Duration: 12 months
  • Location: Riyadh, KSA
  • Commitment: Full-time preferred, minimum 60% FTE
