Operations/Governance Consultants | Riyadh | 12-Month Contract
About the Opportunity
Barker Langham are seeking 2 experienced Operations/Governance Consultants to join our talented team in Riyadh.
This is an opportunity to shape the future operating model and governance structure of a ground-breaking museum, working alongside international experts and local stakeholders.
The Role
Working under the leadership of our Governance and Operational Lead and Head of Strategy and Planning, you will:
- Proactively and independently develop and implement a modern corporate governance model and operational framework
- Collaborate with legal advisors on frameworks and structures for the governance model
- Develop guiding principles for the future operating model, based on international best practices and stakeholder input
- Define a comprehensive museum-wide operating model covering:
- Core functions (exhibitions, programming, visitor services, collections management)
- Support services (HR, finance, legal, IT, procurement, maintenance)
- Back-office operations (security, logistics, infrastructure)
- Establish governance roles, decision-making processes, escalation protocols and reporting mechanisms
- Design a modern organizational structure and develop corresponding job descriptions
- Lead and facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews and presentations independently and collaboratively
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Minimum 5 years professional consulting experience (ideally more)
- Proven experience developing operational and/or governance models for institutions
- Resident in Riyadh with availability to work from client offices as required
- Professional fluency in both Arabic and EnglishConfident leading stakeholder engagement independently
Desirable
- Experience in museum, non-profit, academic or service/experience-led institutions
- Knowledge of Saudi institutional frameworks

- Duration: 12 months
- Location: Riyadh, KSA
- Commitment: Full-time preferred, minimum 60% FTE
