Role Overview:

As we scale operations, we are looking for a strategic and execution-driven Operations Director to oversee day-to-day operations, implement scalable processes, and drive operational excellence. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our internal systems and processes are prepared to meet the challenges of rapid growth, while maintaining efficiency and alignment with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities :

Operational Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement operational plans that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the execution of critical projects to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define and execute on priorities during the company’s international expansion.

Process Improvement & Scalability:

  • Identify inefficiencies in workflows and implement improvements to drive productivity.
  • Develop and maintain scalable standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all key functions.
  • Lead automation and optimization efforts to support rapid growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with department leaders (e.g., Product, Sales, HR, IT) to ensure alignment of operational processes.
  • Act as a central point of communication between departments for operational priorities and projects.

Team Leadership:

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Ensure clear role definitions, goals, and performance metrics for team members.

Metrics & Performance Management:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency, scalability, and team performance.
  • Deliver regular updates and insights to the COO on operational performance and areas for improvement.

Compliance & Risk Oversight:

  • Ensure operational processes comply with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Officer or similar roles to mitigate risks and maintain adherence to governance policies.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
  • Monitor operational spending and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management or a related role, preferably in a high-growth startup or scaling environment.
  • Proven track record of building and optimizing processes to support growth.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving operational alignment across departments.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on execution.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and methods (e.g., Excel, BI platforms) to drive decisions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adaptable and resourceful, thriving in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
