Overview

Novotel Thakher Makkah is in the heart of the holy city of Makkah. This spiritual city is rich in history, filled with devotion, and offers a unique experience for pilgrims and visitors from around the world. We will be located in the Thakher City Project, and to bring our vision to life, we are looking to build a team that will help us launch this new hotel. Novotel Thakher Makkah will feature 1461 rooms and suites, a variety of dining outlets, meeting rooms, and a prayer hall, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment. We aim to be more than just a place to stay, offering genuine hospitality and a tranquil atmosphere for guests on their spiritual journey. Our goal is to provide exceptional service, ensuring every guest feels at home.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise all night shift operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and security.
  • Conduct night audit procedures, ensuring accurate financial reporting and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure the safety and security of guests and staff during night hours.
  • Oversee check-ins, check-outs, and reservations during the night shift.
  • Coordinate with other departments to address any issues that arise during the night.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of public areas and back-of-house spaces.
  • Train and mentor night shift staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures.
  • Prepare detailed shift reports for the day team.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations, following established protocols.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Night Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent track record in front office operations and procedures.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software, preferably Opera or similar systems.
  • Understanding of Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to train and motivate staff.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of hotel safety, security procedures, and emergency protocols.
  • Financial acumen for conducting night audit procedures accurately.
  • Familiarity with local customs and culture in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
