The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the front desk operations during the overnight shift and ensuring the accuracy of daily financial transactions. This role combines customer service with accounting duties, making it essential for maintaining smooth hotel operations and preparing financial reports for management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Services:
    • Greet and assist guests during check-in and check-out.
    • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
    • Ensure guest safety and comfort during overnight hours.
  • Audit & Accounting:
    • Reconcile daily financial transactions and prepare audit reports.
    • Balance room charges, taxes, and other revenue sources.
    • Verify and correct discrepancies in billing and payments.
    • Generate and distribute daily revenue and occupancy reports.
  • Front Desk Operations:
    • Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications.
    • Monitor room availability and update the system accordingly.
    • Maintain accurate records of guest accounts and folios.
  • Security & Safety:
    • Monitor hotel premises for security concerns.
    • Respond to emergency situations and follow safety protocols.
    • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
