We are looking to hire Network Engineer who will be responsible for managing the daily operations and ensuring the stable operation of the network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The role also involves delivering IT infrastructure projects and overseeing Network and IT Administration initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Installing and configuring computer networks and systems.
- Identifying and solving any problems that arise with computer networks and systems.
- Consulting with clients to specify system requirements and design solutions.
- Maintaining existing software and hardware and upgrading any that have become obsolete.
- Monitoring computer networks and systems to identify performance improvements.
- Providing network administration and support.
- Maintaining firewall rules and basic network security, including access‑list, port‑security, NAT, and basic firewalls.
- Day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of all routers and switches, including OS maintenance and upgrades.
- Monitoring all routers and switches within the network.
- Managing security and access controls to all routers and switches.
- Configuring and troubleshooting site‑to‑site VPNs and rapidly resolving network outages.
- Defining, designing, planning, and implementing LAN/WAN infrastructure changes, including cabling, switches, routers, firewalls, Layer 2 and Layer 3 design, and network configurations (MS Visio).
- Maintaining, configuring, and ensuring reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
- Installing and upgrading computer components and software, managing virtual servers, and integrating automation processes.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software errors through diagnostics, documentation, prioritization, and impact assessment.
- Providing documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgraded IT infrastructure.
- Leading desktop and helpdesk support efforts, ensuring all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved promptly.
- Managing capacity, storage planning, and database performance.
- Coordinating with the software development team to address daily issues and needs.
- Coordinating with related departments such as PMO, Presales, Solutions, and Sales.
- Supporting Research and Development with installations, configurations, and support activities.
- Implementing IT policies, strategies, SLAs, and KPIs.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator.
- 2 years of experience with Cisco routers and firewalls, FirePower, and AnyConnect VPNs for remote staff.
- Strong experience managing Layer 3 and Layer 2 switching, HSRP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, SIP, QS, and LAN/WAN standards.
- Hands‑on experience with network monitoring, diagnostic, and analytics tools.
- Excellent knowledge of SAMA Connectivity or SAMA Framework.
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
- Experience with Layer 2 technologies including switching, VLAN, port security, trunking, 802.1X, and spanning tree.
