Job summary

A leading food and beverage company in the Riyadh region is seeking a Microbiology Quality Control Specialist responsible for performing microbiological testing on product materials and purified water. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related field and more than one year of relevant experience. The role involves operating laboratory instruments, documenting tests, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will also possess good math and English skills and be proficient in MS Office.

  • Perform and document microbiological testing on product materials and purified water.
  • Prepare necessary standards, solutions, reagents, media, and samples.
  • Accurately record observations and perform data reviews.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments.
  • Lead continuous improvement using lean principles.
  • Handle all paperwork such as reports.
  • Prepare receiving reports according to specifications.
  • Report abnormalities and take immediate corrective actions.
  • Adhere to SHE rules and procedures for safety.

Job description

You will be responsible for quality control microbiology testing of product materials and purified water as well as performing environmental monitoring.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and document in-house microbiological testing on raw materials, semi-finish, and finish product according to the established standard operating procedures and approved protocols.
  • Prepare necessary standards, solutions, reagents, media, and samples for sample analysis.
  • Accurately record observations and perform data reviews and release inspection lot in the material management system.
  • Operates and maintains laboratory instruments, while ensuring the reliability of instrumentation through proper maintenance, with ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Must participate and lead continuous improvement using lean principles to assist with streamlining and making the laboratory efficient.
  • Handling all paper works such as Reports.
  • Prepare check receiving reports according to the accurate specs.
  • Reporting of abnormalities via notification of quality deviations and take immediate corrections.
  • Adhere to the Nestle SHE rules and procedures at all times during the working hours to ensure own and others safety.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree on Microbiology or related major.
  • More than 1year of experience in the same position.
