A leading engineering firm in Saudi Arabia is seeking an MEP Project Manager to oversee multiple energy efficiency projects within budget and on schedule. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, at least 8 years of professional experience, including 5 in supervisory roles. This position demands strong knowledge in project management, building codes, and energy efficiency. A focus on teamwork and communication is vital to ensure project success and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 2 years GCC experience is a plus.

Job Summary

The MEP Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful planning, managing, executing, completing and handing over multiple MEP projects related to energy efficiency, energy performance contracts and retrofits for large hotel projects, high‑rise towers, and other commercial facilities. The key responsibilities include ensuring timely completion of projects within approved budgets on cost, resources without compromising on quality and safety using internal staff, as well as subcontractors and sub‑consultants. Delivery of high‑quality, turn‑key energy efficiency and renewable energy projects both in office and on site.

Job Responsibilities 1
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and deliver maximum value, all while maintaining a safe working environment and high‑quality standards.
  • Ensure all technical aspects of the projects comply with Conditions of Contract, Particular Specifications, General Specifications, Contract Drawings, and BOQ.
  • Ensure all specifications and authority regulations indicated in technical submittals are strictly followed on‑site.
  • Report work progress and necessary on‑site modifications to clients, consultants, and main contractors.
  • Supervise all MEP subcontractors, coordinating with clients/consultants for material and site installation approvals.
  • Coordinate the work of subcontractors throughout different phases of the project.
  • Track and manage all related bid summaries, RFQs, LPOs, PDCs, L/Cs, and other relevant documents.
  • Supervise the construction team during various phases, ensuring any deficiencies are promptly corrected.
  • Monitor and control work progress to ensure completion within the allocated time and resources.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, and contractors to address concerns and ensure project requirements are met.
  • Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.
Job Knowledge & Skills
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations governing large construction projects.
  • In‑depth knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques and concepts.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Building Codes.
  • Knowledge of building systems, energy technologies, green building and high‑performance design.
  • Understanding of marketing strategy and market analysis techniques is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency, performance contracting, commissioning, BIM or green building is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of MEP construction (electrical and controls).
  • In‑depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing techniques.
  • ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Job Experience

Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus.
