The project:

This is an opportunity to be involved in the delivery of major sports stadiums and associated projects in Saudi Arabia. Mace is currently delivering the programme which will require high‑calibre and experienced professionals to lead teams throughout each phase of the project.

The PMC MEP director provides strategic oversight and direction to the CSC and GC, representing the client and ensuring all MEP works are delivered to the highest standards. The role is focused on leadership, assurance, and client advocacy, not direct technical supervision, which remains the responsibility of the CSC.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Champion sustainability, energy efficiency, and digital integration objectives (e.g., smart stadium features) in all MEP oversight activities.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to the PMC MEP team, supporting professional development and knowledge transfer.
• Proactively identify strategic risks, manage change, and drive resolution of high‑level technical and delivery issues in collaboration with the CSC and GC.
• Maintain comprehensive records of strategic decisions, approvals, and communications for audit and project close‑out.
• Act as the primary client representative for all MEP matters, ensuring value for money, quality, and alignment with the stadium’s operational vision.
• Lead MEP systems integration: Direct the CSC in aligning mechanical, electrical, and public health systems with stadium operations and client goals.
• Commissioning strategy oversight: Set and guide the MEP commissioning framework to meet client standards.
• Strategic design review: Provide high‑level input on HVAC and electrical proposals to ensure stadium‑specific performance, comfort, and energy efficiency.
• Fire safety compliance leadership: Ensure integrated fire protection systems meet the client’s and civil defence requirements.
• Stakeholder coordination: Oversee collaboration between GC, CSC, and stakeholders to align MEP construction with project timelines and client expectations.

You’ll need to have:

• Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high‑valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree and (or vocational equivalent).
• Advanced MEP, design, construction, and commercial expertise.
• Proven major project delivery experience preferably on sport stadia assets.
