Job summary

A leading manpower provider in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Mechanical Technician for a 6-month shutdown project. The role involves performing precision alignment, inspecting equipment, and conducting maintenance on various mechanical systems. Candidates must have over 5 years of experience in petrochemical or heavy industrial environments and hold a technical diploma in mechanical maintenance. Safety certifications are preferred.

Job Overview

We have job opportunity as “Mechanical Technician” for 6 Months Shutdown.

Responsibilities
  • Perform precision alignment of rotating equipment using dial indicators and laser alignment tools.
  • Conduct equipment inspection and troubleshooting to detect faults or wear.
  • Replace defective parts including seals, bearings, gaskets, shafts, couplings, and mechanical seals.
  • Follow technical drawings, isometrics, and job packages accurately.
  • Support mechanical scopes during shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Work safely under SABIC’s permit-to-work system, including LOTO, confined space, and hot work procedures.
  • Coordinate with other teams (electrical, instrument, rigging) to execute integrated work packages.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly handled and maintained.
Education

Technical Diploma or Industrial Certificate in Mechanical Maintenance or related field.

Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in petrochemical, refinery, or heavy industrial plants.
  • Proven experience in shutdown or turnaround maintenance is essential.
Certifications (Preferred)
  • SABIC or Aramco Permit to Work Holder
  • OSHA or site-specific safety certifications
  • Basic Rigging & Lifting safety awareness (optional)
