We are seeking an experienced Material Expeditor with strong piping knowledge to support the timely procurement, tracking, and delivery of materials and equipment for Water Treatment Plant (WTP) projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that all materials, especially piping components, are delivered in line with project schedules and specifications, working closely with procurement, engineering, and construction teams

Qualifications
  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in material expediting and piping within Water Treatment Plants (WTP) or similar infrastructure/industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of piping materials (MS, SS, HDPE, GRP, PVC), valves, flanges, and fittings used in WTP systems.
  • Hands‑on experience with procurement processes, vendor management, and material tracking tools.
  • Familiarity with international piping codes, material standards, and construction practices.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Project, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or similar).
  • Excellent communication, follow‑up, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, site‑based or office‑based project environment.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with procurement, engineering, vendors, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials as per project requirements.
  • Monitor and track the status of piping materials, fittings, valves, and related components required for WTP projects.
  • Expedite vendor documentation, including manufacturing schedules, inspection requests, dispatch details, and shipping documents.
  • Review material submittals, delivery schedules, and ensure adherence to technical specifications and project timelines.
  • Resolve delays or discrepancies in material supply and elevate issues as needed to avoid impact on construction progress.
  • Conduct vendor follow‑ups through calls, emails, and site visits (if necessary) to ensure on‑time manufacturing and dispatch.
  • Maintain updated logs of material status, highlighting critical items and reporting to project control or management teams.
  • Coordinate with the site team to ensure smooth material receiving, verification, and storage at the site.
  • Support inspection coordination for critical piping and mechanical items as per ITP and QA/QC requirements.
  • Ensure documentation completeness for all delivered materials including MTCs, packing lists, and inspection release notes.
