Job Overview
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, evaluating, and maintaining mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery used in industrial and commercial operations. The role demands strong technical expertise in engineering principles, system analysis, project execution, and maintenance management. The ideal candidate must ensure mechanical designs meet performance, durability, reliability, and safety standards in compliance with Saudi regulations and industry norms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and implement mechanical systems, components, and solutions based on project specifications.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, calculations, equipment sizing, and mechanical layouts.
- Conduct feasibility studies, material selection, cost estimations, and risk assessments for engineering projects.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including electrical, civil, fabrication, and project management departments.
- Monitor installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical issues, propose corrective actions, and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
- Review project documentation, ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Prepare technical reports, progress documentation, As-built drawings, and quality inspection records.
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors for procurement, approvals, and equipment verification.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in line with Saudi industrial standards.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Valid engineering license/registration (preferred if having Saudi Council of Engineers membership).
- Proven experience in mechanical design, maintenance and installation for industrial or construction settings.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, and relevant mechanical codes.
- Proficiency in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SAP, Revit, or similar tools.
- Hands‑on experience with HVAC, piping systems, rotating & static equipment, pumps, compressors, boilers, and mechanical components.
- Ability to conduct stress analysis, hydraulic calculations, thermal analysis, and equipment selection.
- Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance concepts.
- Excellent project coordination, documentation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
