Job description

A leading Talent Acquisition Company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Marine Instrumentation and Survey Specialist to join our esteemed organization. We specialize in connecting highly skilled professionals with opportunities across sectors such as Oil & Energy, Marine, and Infrastructure.

This role involves overseeing marine operations, designing, implementing, and managing instrumentation and survey systems for marine environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of marine survey projects, focusing on data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the Marine Technology Laboratory, including processes, tools, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain all relevant equipment.
  • Apply electronic and mechanical skills, project management capabilities, and experience with complex instrumentation.
  • Coordinate survey equipment installation, commissioning, calibration, and training.
  • Support KBD users in setting up and retrieving data from sea-going, terrestrial, and deployed instrumentation.
  • Perform maintenance on field equipment, including diving gear and compressors, after appropriate training.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
  • Lead technology support for marine and terrestrial surveys following scientific methodologies.
  • Collaborate with project managers to select suitable technologies for survey accuracy and reliability.
  • Manage projects and teams, including budgeting and logistics.
  • Develop marine and terrestrial robotics and autonomous survey solutions.
  • Gain proficiency in autonomous survey technologies such as drones, unmanned surface vessels, and underwater vehicles.
  • Be willing to learn new software and obtain international certifications.

Minimum requirements include a relevant bachelor’s degree in marine surveying, electrical, or mechanical engineering with at least 5 years of experience, or equivalent vocational qualifications with at least 4 years of relevant experience. Proficiency with survey equipment and data collection methodologies is essential. Additional advantageous skills include offshore experience, Arabic language skills, and experience in marine survey system design.
