Job summary

Maaden seeks an experienced OT Systems and Controls lead to drive governance across sites and own the enterprise roadmap for OT systems, including PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and MES integrations. You will define standards and support cross‑site deployments of compliant control architectures in a mining environment.

The role emphasizes safe‑by‑design practices, proactive diagnostics, and continuous improvement of control platforms, with strong collaboration across OT teams and field operations.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in industrial control systems or OT environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of PLC, DCS, and SCADA platforms.
• Experience governing control system standards across multiple sites.
• Background in mining, process, or asset-intensive industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own OT Systems and Controls: Own the enterprise roadmap for OT systems and controls, including PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and control system integrations; guide system selection, configuration standards, and upgrade strategies; support site teams in deploying and maintaining compliant control systems.
• Ensure Safe and Reliable Control Operations: Promote safe‑by‑design control system architectures and operating practices; support performance monitoring, diagnostics, and continuous improvement; lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for control system reliability issues; design and deploy “closed loop by default” systems that fast‑track Autonomous operations beyond conventional APC’s.
• Enable Integration and Interoperability: Define control system integration standards with OT infrastructure, data platforms, and enterprise systems; partner with OT Infrastructure, Storage, Networking & Connectivity teams to ensure controls are deployable and operable.
