Job Summary

The Manager – Network Growth Readiness is responsible for ensuring that the city’s multi-modal transport network is operationally prepared for expansion, service upgrades, and integration of new modes. This role bridges the gap between planning, construction, and operations by ensuring that systems, staff, assets, and processes are ready for safe, efficient, and reliable service launch across metros, high-speed rail, cable cars, buses, BRT, and micromobility services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Readiness Planning & Coordination: develop and maintain a Network Growth Readiness Framework to guide expansion, new lines, and mode integration; lead readiness planning for upcoming infrastructure and service projects, ensuring alignment between city developers, engineering, operations, and customer service teams; identify dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies for operational start‑up.
  2. Operational Integration: coordinate integration of new assets, stations, depots, control centers, and vehicles into existing operations; oversee development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new routes and modes; ensure systems (ticketing, scheduling, real‑time monitoring) are configured and tested prior to launch.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: liaise with city developers and stakeholders, authorities, contractors, and regulatory agencies to secure operational approvals and certifications; work with HR and training teams to ensure recruitment, onboarding, and competency training for new operational staff; engage with community groups and marketing teams to support customer awareness of new services.
  4. Testing & Commissioning Oversight: oversee operational readiness testing, including trial runs, safety drills, and system commissioning; ensure defects are logged, tracked, and resolved before public service commencement; validate that performance standards and KPIs can be achieved under real operating conditions.
  5. Change & Transition Management: lead the transition from project delivery to live operations, ensuring seamless handover between construction, systems delivery, and operations teams; coordinate change management activities to integrate new technologies, processes, and workforce structures.
  6. Performance & Continuous Improvement: measure post‑launch performance and identify lessons learned for future projects; maintain a readiness knowledge base and best‑practice guidelines for future network growth initiatives.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Transport Planning, Engineering, Project Management, or related field (master’s preferred).
  2. Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in large‑scale transport operations or project delivery, with proven experience in operational readiness.
  3. Familiarity with multi‑modal integration, safety certification processes, and commissioning procedures.
  4. Experience working in environments with multiple stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
