MAINTENANCE MANAGER – Chemical / Waterproofing Industry / Building Material Industry – KSA

Our client, a leading Multinational Manufacturing company in Chemical / Building Material industry is looking to hire a Maintenance Manager for their plant based in Dammam – KSA.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering,

Minimum Experience:

  • 8 – 10 years in large chemical industries of maintenance environment plus 4 years in line management level

Budget – Salary + Family status

Role: To manage the plant and equipment maintenance activities and ensure all required spare parts and manpower are adequate to meet the maintenance requirements and are able to deliver quality work to keep the plant and equipment in good uninterrupted operational condition and maintain asset management.

Strategy:

  • Participates in the formulation and implementation of the Operations department strategy to ensure the alignment with Company’s strategy.
  • Plan, organise and manage the execution of Maintenance Section plans and strategies to fulfil the business objectives and meet operations and company requirements.

Policies, Processes and Procedures

  • Participates and recommends improvements to Maintenance Section policies, processes and procedures and manages the implementation to ensure all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manages the Maintenance function by developing plans and objectives with an emphasis on maximizing growth, revenue and profitability, monitoring plant and equipment’s performance against outputs and timeline objectives and targets so as to promote and facilitate a smooth functioning of Company’s equipment’s and / or facilities.
  • Ensures the spare parts, adequate manpower and equipment are readily available for the smooth completion of shutdown and turnaround processes.
  • Manages the procurement of Maintenance resources from a technical aspect whilst adhering to Company’s policies to ensure an uninterrupted delivery of quality goods and / or services in a cost-effective manner.
  • Manages the planning, organising and implementing of Company’s plant shutdowns, turnarounds and emergencies as required to ensure an adherence to the wellbeing of Company’s assets.
  • Manages and troubleshoots problems as required so as to avoid major escalations at any given instance.
  • Manages the Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumental maintenance works on Company’s assets as required to ensure minimum disruptions with regard to machine / Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumental breakdowns.
  • Monitor Breakdowns, analyse and reduce % and increase OEE.
  • Manages the assessment and evaluation of Maintenance work orders to ensure an effective prioritization and allocation of jobs onto subordinates.
  • Conducts various Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumental testing(s) on equipment to safeguard Company’s assets regarding their operational longevity, ensuring the reliability and safety of equipment, minimizing downtime, and maximizing productivity. This involves implementing maintenance management strategies, coordinating repairs, and managing maintenance activities during shutdowns and new projects.
  • Strategic Planning and Implementation: Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs. Creating and managing maintenance budgets. Developing long-term maintenance strategies.
  • Technical Support: Lead a team of maintenance staff in your departments and assist with troubleshooting, upgrades, and installations for process improvements, safety upgrades, and company asset management.
  • Maintenance Operations: Planning and scheduling maintenance activities. Supervising and coordinating maintenance work performed by in-house teams and contractors. Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and procedures. Responding to breakdowns and emergencies.
  • Equipment asset Management: Inspecting equipment for issues and making necessary repairs. Managing equipment inventory and ordering parts. Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes.
