AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep customers able to access innovative services. We work on challenging supply‑chain problems and are looking for talented people who want to help.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Review data‑center inventory, inbound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure proper stock levels are maintained at all locations.
  • Complete manual tasks: assemble, address and arrange shipment of materials, handle incoming shipments, unpack boxes, and verify contents.
  • Load and unload large equipment using pallet jacks.
  • Maintain accountability of in‑stock components, receive and process inbound shipments.
  • Assist with ongoing requests to maintain proper stock levels and distribute parts to support building and repair activities.
  • Work with the Logistics Manager to create plans that optimize the flow and delivery of parts through their lifecycle; track inventory locations and movement.
  • Collaborate closely with Datacenter Operations Technicians to fulfill parts and equipment deliveries quickly and accurately.
  • Coordinate with Procurement teams to ensure inbound equipment orders are complete and delivered to the appropriate Data Center locations.
  • Maintain regular communication with vendors to resolve issues and meet business requirements, requiring strong communication skills.
  • Support a 24/7 operating environment: receive, maintain inventory, and check out parts to Data Center Technicians and Engineers.
  • Transport parts, racks, and equipment between different locations, including localized driving of various transport vehicles.
  • Handle sensitive/classified client materials and work around moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasionally work in an office environment.
A Day in the Life
  • Work in‑person at a site location.
  • Data entry and resolve questions from peer organizations.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date metrics dashboards or Excel spreadsheets; create reports for internal and external customers and management.
  • Ensure billing associated with the inventory supply chain is accurate, validated, and ready for processing.
  • Assemble, address, stamp, and arrange shipment of merchandise and materials.
  • Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick‑ups to and from production locations.
  • Keep precise records of all commodities moving in and out of the company.
  • Perform tasks that require frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
  • Walk regularly, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment.
  • Reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance.
  • Push or pull heavy objects into position.
  • Work in a noisy environment.
  • Stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods.
  • Occasionally be exposed to cold or hot weather.
  • Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts.
  • Noise level varies and can be loud.
  • Work overtime as needed by business.
  • Willingness and demonstrated ability to work in the following physical conditions with reasonable accommodations: push or pull heavy objects, noisy environment, commitment to safety, and adaptability to shifting priorities.
