Job Summary

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels, eliminating obsolete and off-spec material, and reducing aging material. This position manages and controls resource distribution and allocation directed by the Operations Manager for all projects company-wide. Responsible for all logistics requirements related to warehouse functions, including transportation, supply delivery, and related activities. Manages the supply and delivery of procured items to the assigned project location, coordinating with all shipping, freight forwarding agencies, and customs authorities.

Job Responsibilities 1
  • Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all inventory transactions and physical movement of materials from receipt to stocking and distribution.
  • Develop and execute tools and methodologies to enable effective implementation of logistics plans, including designing standard operating procedures for efficient logistics operations.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to enhance operational performance.
  • Plan, manage, and evaluate logistics operations in liaison with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers.
  • Deliver solutions to logistics challenges while maintaining high quality and service levels within budget.
  • Resolve issues related to transportation, logistics systems, imports, exports, or customer concerns.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and manage stock movements with the help of direct reports.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, ensuring alignment between physical stock and system records.
  • Interpret trends, analyze data, and provide meaningful logistics insights to support customer service and cost improvements.

Job Knowledge & Skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of logistics principles, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.

  • Excellent organizational abilities to plan and execute logistics activities, optimize routes, and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.

  • ERP knowledge, preferably SAP, with functional skills relevant to the role.
Job Experience
