- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the movement of materials, equipment, and supplies to and from construction sites.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials according to project schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Verify shipping documents, purchase orders, and delivery notes for accuracy.
2. Supplier & Transport Management
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport companies for delivery scheduling.
- Negotiate transportation rates and ensure cost‑effective logistics operations.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of logistics service providers.
3. Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Work closely with warehouse teams to manage stock levels and ensure proper storage conditions.
- Track inventory movement and update the system regularly.
- Support in physical stock counts and reconciliation with system data.
4. Site Support & Coordination
- Liaise with site engineers and procurement teams to forecast logistics needs.
- Ensure materials are available on‑site when needed to avoid project delays.
- Assist in mobilization and demobilization of equipment and manpower.
5. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain all logistics‑related documentation (shipping, customs, transport permits, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local transportation laws, and safety standards.
- Support customs clearance and import/export procedures when applicable.
6. Reporting
- Prepare daily and weekly logistics reports.
- Highlight any potential delays, risks, or cost overruns to management.
- Recommend process improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
