Job summary

A facilities management company is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician for its team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This role involves overseeing the maintenance and installation of HVAC systems, managing operations, and providing technical guidance. The ideal candidate will have 4–5 years of hands-on experience and a strong understanding of CRAC/CRAH units and VRV/VRF systems. This position offers an opportunity to lead a mobile team and work across various client sites, ensuring optimal system performance and compliance with regulations.

CBRE GWS Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Technician to join our Facilities Management team in Dammam.

This role is part of a Mobile Team, requiring regular travel by company vehicle between multiple client sites to perform maintenance and operational duties.

Purpose of the Role:

You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance, regulatory compliance, and minimal downtime across client facilities. You will supervise technicians, manage daily operations, and provide technical guidance while upholding CBRE RISE values.

Key Tasks:
  • Assign tasks to HVAC team members and ensure timely completion.
  • Install, repair, calibrate, and maintain HVAC systems including CRAC/CRAH units, DX systems, VRV/VRF, AHUs, and ducting components.
  • Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions and equipment failures; recommend modifications when necessary.
  • Supervise complex assignments and implement innovative technical solutions.
  • Provide coaching and technical support to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records in alignment with company and client standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and ensure continuity of operations.
  • Demonstrate CBRE RISE values through leadership, communication, and professionalism.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to stakeholders and team members.
Education:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or technical/trade school certification in HVAC or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
Skills:
  • Ability to read technical schematics and documentation.
  • Strong working knowledge of CRAC/CRAH units, VRV/VRF systems, AHUs, and related equipment.
  • Understanding of plumbing systems is a plus.
  • Physically capable of field duties including lifting, standing, climbing, and extended walking.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Ability to interpret and apply safety regulations and building codes.
Experience:
  • 4–5 years of hands‑on HVAC maintenance and system operations experience.
  • Supervisory or shift‑lead experience preferred.
