The Lead Engineer, Planning and Programming develops, integrates, and maintains project and portfolio schedules across the sub-holding’s operating companies. The role ensures robust baselines, timely updates, accurate progress measurement, and early-warning insights, while driving consistent methods (Primavera P6/EPPM), rules of credit, and resource/risk integration. The Lead coordinates with Project Managers, Engineering, Construction, Commercial/Contracts, and SCM to keep programs on track and supports delay‑analysis inputs for variations/claims where required.
Principal Accountabilities
Policies, Processes & Procedures

Main Areas of Responsibility
Project Scheduling & Planning
- Lead the development and implementation of standardized project scheduling frameworks, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Primavera P6).
- Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of baseline schedules, updates, and progress reports for all projects.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Establish robust progress tracking and reporting mechanisms to ensure timely project delivery and early identification of delays.
- Provide regular schedule performance analysis, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management.
Claims & Variations Management
- Develop and implement claims management protocols, including identification, preparation, negotiation, and resolution of claims and variations.
- Ensure all claims are supported by accurate documentation, analysis, and are in compliance with contract terms.
Risk Mitigation & Delay Analysis
- Lead delay analysis, forensic scheduling, and root cause investigations to support claims and dispute resolution.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies for schedule risks.
Systems Integration & Digitalization
- Drive the integration of scheduling and claims management systems with ERP and project controls platforms.
- Support digital transformation initiatives to automate scheduling, progress tracking, and claims processes.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with internal scheduling and claims policies, contractual obligations, and industry standards.
- Establish governance structures for schedule approvals, claims reviews, and audit readiness.
Miscellaneous Duties
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the team and overall business objectives.

- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PSP, CCM) are preferred.

Years of Experience
10 years of experience in project scheduling, claims management, or related roles, with at least 4 within large‑scale contracting, construction, or infrastructure organizations.
