Job summary

Absal Paul Contracting is seeking a seasoned Commercial Manager to oversee all commercial and contractual matters from project commencement through final account. The role involves preparing and reviewing subcontract agreements, payment applications, variations, claims and cost reports, while monitoring costs, budgets, cash flow and procurement commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, civil engineering, construction management, or related discipline.
• 10–15 years commercial experience in construction, including GCC delivery.
• Proven experience in logistics, industrial, warehouse, or large-scale facility projects.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, cost control, procurement, variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Excellent negotiation, reporting, communication, and leadership skills.
• Airport project experience is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial and contractual matters from project start to final account.
• Prepare, review and manage subcontract agreements, payment apps, variations, claims and cost reports.
• Monitor project cost, budget performance, cash flow, procurement commitments and commercial risks.
• Support the project team in contract administration, notices, delays, and entitlement assessments.
• Coordinate with client, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams on all commercial issues.
• Lead preparation and negotiation of variations, claims settlements and final accounts.
• Ensure commercial compliance with contract requirements, procedures, and project reporting standards.
