Company Overview:

Our FMCG food distribution company is committed to ensuring the highest standards of occupational health and safety in the workplace. We adhere to ISO14000, ISO45001, NEBOSH, and OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Health and Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety standards in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The position required the candidate to travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace.
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures based on ISO45001 & ISO14000 standards.
  • Provide training to employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and the proper use of safety equipment in compliance with NEBOSH requirements.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions in line with OSHA regulations.
  • Monitor and evaluate workplace conditions to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to address health and safety concerns and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.

Minimum Requirements & Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field.
  • Certification in NEBOSH or OSHA or similar occupational health and safety programs.
  • Must have full knowledge and experience in ISO certification 45001 or 14000.
  • 2-4 Years experience in implementing health and safety programs in an industrial setting, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Physical ability to conduct inspections and respond to emergencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
