Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining kitchen equipment and operating steam engines, generators, motors, turbines, and/or steam boilers.
• Good command of English and ability to identify and rectify faults.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and serviced properly to avoid breakdowns.
• Perform preventive maintenance efficiently to meet guest needs.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and be available for emergencies according to hotel standards.
• Operate safely to protect the health and safety of guests and colleagues.
• Comply with hotel environmental, health, and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and serviced to avoid breakdown.
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete the turnover quickly and efficiently to satisfy and meet the guest needs.
• Respond to breakdowns of equipment and be available in case of emergency, applying the appropriate action as per hotel policy and standards.
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and colleagues’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment.
• Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.

Skills

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should ideally be a licensed high/low pressure boiler operator with previous experiences in a similar role and a proven knowledge in the operation of equipment such as steam engines, generators, motors, turbines and/or steam boilers. A good command of English and the ability to find fault and rectify subsystems are essentials.
