UNDERGROUND WORKS – PROJECT – SHARAAN RESORT (ALULA, SAUDI ARABIA)

Prestigious underground construction project involving rock excavation integrated into the mountain, with high architectural, environmental and heritage constraints.

POSITION PURPOSE

Reporting to the Senior Methods Engineer, the Junior Methods Engineer will support the development, implementation and optimization of construction methodologies for underground works, while progressively developing technical and site coordination skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in preparing method statements, work procedures and excavation sequences
  • Support planning and phasing of underground works activities
  • Monitor productivity, quantities and construction constraints on site
  • Participate in constructability reviews and risk assessments
  • Interface with construction, geology, planning and HSE teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of execution methods
  • Ensure compliance with HSE rules and project procedures
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Master’s Degree (BSc + MSc) in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • 0–3 years of experience (relevant internships accepted)
  • Exposure to underground works or tunnelling projects is a plus
  • Basic understanding of tunnelling methods (NATM, Drill & Blast)
  • Ability to read drawings and construction method documents
  • Professional working proficiency in English
