A leading oil and gas corporation in Saudi Arabia is seeking a professional to provide effective technical support for IT services. The ideal candidate will manage office automation projects, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure compliance with internal standards. Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on user satisfaction are essential. The position involves documentation of procedures and the organization of contractor activities to meet company expectations.
To provide effective and quality user support for technical issues relating to PC, Printer and Desktop applications under the guide lines as detailed in policies and procedures for achieving an uninterrupted IT service through out KJO with maximum user satisfaction.
Policies, Processes and Procedures
Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the Office Automation Section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
Organises and supervises the activities and work of the contractors to ensure that all work agreed upon is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with the organisation requirements and is in line with operating procedures and policy.
Provides technical support under the direction of the Section Supervisor in designing and execution of projects and activities related to office automation.
Participates in the system design of planned Office Automation activity to ensure that all requirements are available and considered during project planning.
Studies and understands the IT automation requirements and associated solutions designed to support these needs and take a customer focused view of how to provide help and support in this environment.
Attends to user questions and needs, provides appropriate advice and seeks feedback after problems and concerns have been addressed at all times ensuring that issues related to automation are resolved in a timely and positive manner.
Help develop a continuous process of improvement in the automation environment so that users are confident that the support and help provided is of the highest value and is providing cost effective and efficient solutions.
Identifies, diagnoses and resolves system problems and ensures the relevant technical documentation is maintained to facilitate future maintenance.
Assists in defining and solving complex problems across the various locations and monitors system performance.
Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for all implemented Office Automation activities and ensure this is updated at all times for ready reference.
Assists the Supervisor in preparing proposals for new requirements and presenting solutions for the same to meet user expectations.
Reviews and prepares scope of work for major Section jobs for presenting to the Superintendent and Supervisor for review and approval.
Witnesses and attends system acceptance tests of completed projects to verify that the all units work in order to make the necessary closures and recommendations to the project.
Prepares section reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards
Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
Performs other related duties or assignments as directed
