IT Planning and Strategy Specialist is responsible for developing, aligning, and driving the organization’s IT strategy in coordination with business objectives and the budget planning. This role plays a critical part in strategic planning, IT portfolio management, and ensuring IT investments deliver value and support long-term growth. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical thinking, Financial knowledge, and business acumen.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business leaders and IT stakeholders to develop and refine the long-term IT strategy aligned with corporate goals.
- Facilitate the development of annual IT plans, roadmaps, and budgets.
- Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to ensure optimal IT investment planning and cost management.
- Analyze technology trends and identify opportunities to leverage innovation for business advantage.
- Maintain and manage the IT project portfolio, ensuring prioritization and alignment with strategic goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of IT initiatives and strategies using KPIs and performance metrics.
- Support enterprise architecture development and maintain alignment between business processes and technology solutions.
- Contribute to IT governance processes, including risk management, compliance, and policy development.
- Provide research, analysis, and recommendations on emerging technologies and digital transformation initiatives.
- Prepare and present strategic documents, reports, and presentations for executive leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT strategy, planning, enterprise architecture, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of Budgeting, planning processes, and portfolio management.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with planning tools and project/portfolio management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Power BI, ServiceNow, etc.).
- Experience in digital transformation or strategy management initiatives.
