Role Purpose
The IT Analyst plays a crucial role in providing technical support and assistance to the IT department. This role involves helping end-users with technical issues, performing routine IT tasks, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the organization's technology infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues.
- Respond to user inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and elevate issues as needed.
- Lead installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
- Perform routine updates and patches to ensure the security and functionality of systems.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of the organization’s network infrastructure.
- Provide support for network connectivity issues and assist in managing network devices.
- Set up and troubleshoot peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and other hardware.
- Ensure the proper functioning of peripheral equipment and assist users with related issues.
- Provide support for common office software, email clients, and productivity tools.
- Support the implementation of security measures to protect IT systems and data and assist in educating end-users on cybersecurity best practices.
- Maintain complete inventory of IT equipment, including computers, peripherals, and software licenses.
- Communicate effectively with end-users to understand and resolve IT-related problems.
- Assist in providing basic training to end-users on the use of IT systems and applications.
- Stay informed about new technologies and participate in relevant training programs.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of IT support experience.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and common desktop applications.
- Strong technical aptitude and an interest in IT support.
