Position Summary

The Interior Design Manager – Hospitality is responsible for leading the complete interior design development for hospitality projects—including hotels, resorts, F&B concepts, lounges, and branded residences. This role ensures that all interior spaces deliver elevated guest experiences, reflect brand identity, and meet project performance, budget, and operational criteria. The position involves close collaboration with external consultants, hotel operators, project teams, and procurement to drive design excellence from concept through execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Interior Design Leadership

  • Lead concept creation, mood boards, material palettes, and design narratives for hospitality interiors.
  • Manage and coordinate interior design consultants across all design stages (concept, schematic, detailed, IFC).
  • Ensure cohesive and brand-aligned interior environments across guestrooms, public areas, F&B venues, meeting spaces, spa/wellness, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Review and approve design submissions, material boards, mock-ups, and FF&E selections.

2. Collaboration with Hotel Operators & Stakeholders

  • Work with hotel operators and brand representatives to ensure compliance with brand standards and operational functionality.
  • Facilitate design coordination meetings with architecture, MEP, lighting, landscape, procurement, and project management teams.
  • Address and resolve design-related issues, clashes, or constraints promptly.

3. FF&E & Material Management

  • Oversee the selection, specification, and documentation of FF&E, OS&E, artwork, lighting, finishes, and materials.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure materials meet quality, cost, and availability requirements.
  • Review shop drawings, prototypes, and vendor submissions to maintain design intent.

4. Quality Control & Site Coordination

  • Conduct site visits to verify design implementation, material installation, and workmanship quality.
  • Review mock-up rooms and public area prototypes, providing clear direction for revisions.
  • Ensure all interior works comply with approved design, safety codes, sustainability standards, and project specs.

5. Project Management

  • Develop and manage interior design schedules, deliverables, milestones, and budgets.
  • Track progress of design packages and ensure timely approvals to avoid project delays.
  • Participate in value engineering exercises without compromising guest experience or design character.

6. Research, Innovation & Trends

  • Stay updated on global hospitality interior design trends, materials innovation, technology integration, and sustainability practices.
  • Introduce creative concepts and modern solutions that enhance brand experience and asset value.
Qualifications & Experience
