As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation equipment. You will work closely with a team of engineers, electricians, and mechanics to ensure that systems are functioning optimally. This role requires strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, including control valves, alarms, flow meters, SCADA, DCS, and PLC.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various types of instrumentation equipment.
  • Respond to emergency calls and perform unscheduled repairs to ensure continuous operation of production facilities.
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on instrumentation equipment to detect and prevent potential failures.
  • Maintain and repair control systems, including PLCs and DCS.
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Test accuracy of instrument calibration using test equipment such as pressure gauges, temperature indicators, and flow meters.
  • Collaborate with other personnel, including engineers, electricians, and mechanics, to solve problems and ensure systems are functioning properly.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Instrumentation or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Instrument Technician in the Oil & Energy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Good knowledge of process instrumentation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various types of equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Understanding of PLC and DCS control systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
