INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking an Instrument & Analyzer Technician to join our dynamic team based in KSA. This role is pivotal in supporting Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Field Services to achieve excellence in service delivery across industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, and Utilities.

What You’ll Lead and Deliver

The primary responsibility of an Instrument & Analyzer Technician is to manage the installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of process analyzers, including Gas Chromatographs, Emerson Micro Motion Coriolis meters, Fork Density meters, and GE Ultrasonic Flow Meters.

Requirements

To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:

  • 6+ Years of experience in Preventive Maintenance, Remedial maintenance, Call outs, and worked in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Minimum DAE in Electronics, with a preferred 2-year apprenticeship in instrumentation.
  • Candidates must have the following Technical & Soft Skills:
Technical Skills:
  • Instrumentation Knowledge – Proficient in various process control instruments (pressure, temperature, level, and flow sensors).
  • Analytical Instruments – Experienced with gas chromatographs, Emerson/GE density analyzers, and other process analyzers.
  • Calibration & Maintenance – Skilled in calibrating and maintaining instruments in line with industry standards.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair – Expertise in diagnosing faults in sensors, transmitters, and analyzers, as well as replacing defective components.
  • Loop Checking – Conducting loop testing to ensure proper communication between field instruments and control systems.
  • PLC/DCS & SCADA Systems – Knowledge of control logic, signal transmission, and communication protocols (HART, Modbus, Profibus).
  • Gas Detection Systems – Experience working with gas detectors for hazardous environments.
  • Pneumatics & Hydraulics – Basic understanding of fluid dynamics in instrumentation systems.
  • Safety & Hazardous Area Equipment – Knowledge of explosion-proof, intrinsically safe, and hazardous area classifications.
  • Technical Drawings & Documentation – Ability to read P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical manuals.
Soft Skills:
  • Problem-Solving – Quick and efficient troubleshooting of instrument failures.
  • Attention to Detail – Ensuring precise calibration and installation.
  • Communication – Effectively coordinating with engineers, operators, and management.
  • Time Management – Managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Teamwork – Collaborative work ethic with maintenance and operations teams.
