Digital Governance – CHI Project
The Digital Governance Specialist is responsible for leading the organization’s digital governance initiatives by developing strategies, policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks that ensure alignment with national regulations and best practices. This role plays a key part in ensuring the integrity, security, and quality of digital operations, while driving compliance with national standards and enhancing risk management practices. The specialist will lead audits, oversee compliance reporting, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote a strong digital governance culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Governance Strategy: Lead the development and enhancement of the organization’s digital governance strategy in alignment with institutional and national objectives.
- Policies & Procedures: Design, implement, and update digital governance policies, frameworks, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and international best practices.
- Risk & Compliance Management: Conduct regular digital compliance reviews and risk assessments to ensure the protection of organizational data and adherence to governance policies.
- Auditing & Reporting: Lead periodic audits of digital governance processes, prepare compliance reports, and recommend corrective actions for continuous improvement.
- Data Quality & Integrity: Monitor and review data governance practices, ensuring accuracy, quality, and integration across digital platforms.
- National Regulatory Alignment: Collaborate with national regulatory authorities to ensure strategies and practices comply with national laws and frameworks.
- Identity & Access Controls: Support the development of digital identity controls and access management frameworks to strengthen security and governance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of governance frameworks and compliance measures.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and track digital governance KPIs, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting to leadership.
- Advisory & Expertise: Provide expert advice on digital governance and contribute to the development of methodologies, tools, and awareness programs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or an equivalent field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience in digital governance, IT governance, compliance, or related fields (for senior-level roles). Proven experience in designing and implementing governance frameworks and policies.
- Certifications (Preferred): TOGAF, COBIT, CGEIT (ISACA), or equivalent certifications in digital/IT governance.
- Expertise in digital governance, risk, and compliance management.
- Strong knowledge of national digital governance regulations and data protection frameworks.
- Ability to design governance strategies, standards, and processes.
- Experience in conducting audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.
- Proficiency in performance monitoring and KPI reporting.
