Job description

Responsibilities

  • Carry out Time and Motion studies as required.
  • Establish and maintain standard times for all operations.
  • Conduct manpower efficiency studies through time & motion study or standard data.
  • Establish time standards for new machines/operations and validate standards for existing operations.
  • Devise methods to eliminate wastage of time, money, materials, energy, and other resources.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to improve planning and operational efficiency.
  • Improve working conditions at various workstations and implement method improvements to reduce unproductive time.
  • Monitor workstations and coordinate with supervisors to maintain efficiency.
  • Develop, analyze, and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, cost, delivery, and management.
  • Participate in sustaining process improvement initiatives.
  • Plan 5S audits, red tagging, and employee training as per schedule.
  • Implement Kaizen activities, evaluate plans, and recognize employee contributions.
  • Coordinate suggestion schemes, evaluate suggestions, and implement feasible ideas within prescribed timelines.
  • Reward employees for contributions to process improvements.
  • Identify waste-generating areas and eliminate waste using lean tools.
  • Standardize hardware, monitoring systems, and production practices.
  • Optimize resource utilization including manpower, machinery, methods, energy, tools, and consumables.
  • Contribute to creating a safer and more efficient working environment.
  • Develop processes for proper use of consumables and tools, and identify cost-effective alternatives.
  • Reduce packaging and material handling costs.
  • Act as liaison between quality control and operations.
  • Study, analyze, and implement tools to eliminate process errors.
  • Control documentation and technical data for future reference.
  • Maintain and generate reports as required for various projects.
  • Standardize forms across departments to eliminate non-value-added activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Industrial Engineering.
  • Proficiency in MS-Office; experience with ERP systems (Oracle) and AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Preferred Certifications.
