Job description

Qiddiya Investment Company is in search of an experienced and strategic HSEW (Health, Safety, Environment, and Wellness) Director to lead our Development Management Office. This pivotal role is essential in driving our commitment to the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental protection while also promoting wellness initiatives within the organization.

As the HSEW Director, you will oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive policies and programs that ensure the wellbeing of all employees and stakeholders involved in our ambitious projects. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering an integrated health, safety, environmental, and wellness culture throughout our operational practices and project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HSEW policies and strategies aligned with corporate goals and local regulations.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and reviews to identify potential hazards and implement proactive measures.
  • Lead the organization’s wellness programs, promoting a holistic approach to employee health and wellbeing.
  • Coordinate HSEW training sessions and workshops to enhance awareness and compliance among staff and contractors.
  • Monitor and evaluate HSEW performance metrics; report on outcomes and improvements to senior management.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with HSEW regulations and internal policies.
  • Facilitate communication between teams to ensure HSEW principles are integrated into project planning and execution.
  • Engage with external regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to relevant HSEW standards and practices.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in HSEW practices and technology, incorporating best practices into departmental strategies.
Desired Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Safety Management, or related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 12-15 years of relevant experience in HSEW management, particularly within large-scale projects or development management.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, environmental regulations, and wellness programs.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive HSEW programs.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence and motivate at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Professional certifications in health, safety, environmental management, and wellness are highly desirable (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 14001, etc.).
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
