Role Summary
We are looking for a proactive and qualified HSE Officer to join our team at the Dammam plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting operational teams in maintaining a safe workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits across the plant to identify hazards and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and enforce the correct use of PPE and safe work practices in dusty and high-risk environments.
- Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Oversee chemical handling procedures, ensuring safe storage, labeling, and disposal in accordance with HSE guidelines.
- Observe and report unsafe behaviors and conditions, and recommend preventive measures.
- Support confined space entry, working at heights, and manual handling activities with proper controls and permits.
- Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for employees and contractors.
- Ensure fire safety systems are accessible, functional, and never obstructed.
- Maintain accurate records of risk assessments, safety training, incident reports, and inspections.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve safety performance and implement best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Minimum Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
- Certifications: Valid OSHA or NEBOSH certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with a strong background in chemical safety and incident reporting.
- Languages: Proficient in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industrial safety practices.
- Excellent observation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Comfortable working in plant-based environments and performing field inspections.
Work Conditions
- Willingness to work in shifts and perform overtime as required.
- Available to work on holidays and weekends based on operational needs.
- Physically fit to handle fieldwork and inspections in industrial settings.
