Job summary

A construction materials company in Dammam is seeking a qualified HSE Officer. Role Summary

We are looking for a proactive and qualified HSE Officer to join our team at the Dammam plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting operational teams in maintaining a safe workplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and audits across the plant to identify hazards and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and enforce the correct use of PPE and safe work practices in dusty and high-risk environments.
  • Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Oversee chemical handling procedures, ensuring safe storage, labeling, and disposal in accordance with HSE guidelines.
  • Observe and report unsafe behaviors and conditions, and recommend preventive measures.
  • Support confined space entry, working at heights, and manual handling activities with proper controls and permits.
  • Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for employees and contractors.
  • Ensure fire safety systems are accessible, functional, and never obstructed.
  • Maintain accurate records of risk assessments, safety training, incident reports, and inspections.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve safety performance and implement best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Minimum Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
  • Certifications: Valid OSHA or NEBOSH certification is required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with a strong background in chemical safety and incident reporting.
  • Languages: Proficient in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industrial safety practices.
    • Excellent observation, reporting, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
    • Comfortable working in plant-based environments and performing field inspections.
Work Conditions
