We are seeking a tech-savvy and motivated HSE Officer (Saudi National) to join our EHS team in Riyadh, Saudi. This role combines strong Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) knowledge with advanced computer skills. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Power BI, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights that support safety and compliance.

What are my responsibilities?
  • Implement the organization’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies in line with legal and client requirements.
  • Support projects by integrating HSE standards across all operations.
  • Ensure accurate HSE reporting to meet client, legal, and contractual obligations.
  • Conduct workplace inspections and proactively ensure HSE objectives are achieved.
  • Assist with accident and incident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare reports, bulletins, and safety communications to keep staff informed and engaged.
  • Identify hazards, recommend preventive measures, and provide on-site coaching on safe practices.
  • Inspect subcontractor facilities and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance.
  • Deliver regular safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and induction programs.
  • Participate in internal and external HSE audits.
  • Maintain accurate registers of inspections, incidents, and training records.
  • Manage environmental data (waste, fuel, water, and recycling) in coordination with logistics.
  • Organize and maintain digital safety records for accessibility and compliance.
  • Analyze safety trends using MS Office and Power BI, preparing dashboards and reports for management.
  • Maintain a “lessons learned” database to support knowledge sharing and prevention.
  • Review safety plans, work procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
What do I need to qualify for the role?
  • Degree or diploma in Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an HSE/Safety Officer in Oil & Gas, Industrial Projects, or O&M environments.
  • NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of hazardous materials, safe practices, and legal requirements.
  • Experience preparing detailed safety reports, audits, and policies.
  • Proven ability to conduct workplace audits and inspections.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and safety statistics.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and diligence.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), SharePoint, and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Safety Management Information Systems (SMIS) is an advantage.
