Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Implementing and monitoring HSE policies and procedures to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Monitor compliance of regulatory requirements and maintain legal register up-to-date.
  • Ensure regulatory reports are completed accurately, reviewed thoroughly, and submitted on time.
  • Conduct daily HSE inspections and maintain a written log including area/operation inspected, date of inspection, identified hazards, recommended corrective actions, estimated and actual dates of corrections, and ensure report closure.
  • Ensure HSE regulations are observed: personal protective equipment is worn, safe working practices including industrial hygiene standards are followed, and obvious hazards are corrected immediately or reported to the proper personnel.
  • Coordinate and assist in maintaining documents and records required during internal and external audits (customer audit, certification audits, compliance audits, etc.) and ensure required facility arrangements are in place.
  • Implement waste management system and maintain up-to-date disposal records.
  • Ensure 3rd‑party testing is done on time for all lifting equipment, loose gears, pressure vessels, air compressors, and air receivers and maintain records.
  • Prepare risk assessments, implement and train employees on control measures.
  • Conduct mock fire drills as per plan and maintain reports.
  • Deal with crisis (emergency) situations such as fire, medical gas leak, chemical, violence, etc., prepare necessary reports, and coordinate with regulatory authorities where required.
  • Monitor all electronic security systems including fire alarms, CCTV, and patrol management; report any system malfunctions immediately.
  • Assist reporting managers with environmental compliance measures and record‑keeping.
  • Lead investigation of all incidents and ensure proper records are completed and submitted; assist in implementation of corrective actions and communicate lessons learned throughout the company.
  • Assist in the creation of safety training programs, schedule employee training, track all training compliance, and prepare training evaluation reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist with safety orientation to customers, suppliers, visitors whenever applicable.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding: safety orientation.
  • Ensure HSE‑related checklists are implemented and maintained.
  • Execute corrective actions for observations or non‑conformances noticed during audits within the timelines.
  • Budget tracking and assist during yearly budget preparation.
  • Always communicate with local authorities (e.g., MODON) on seeking support on circular updates, rule changes, and guidelines.
  • Oversee daily workflow schedules and assignments of security staff; act as first‑line support for security staff encountering incidents or difficulties and escalating as appropriate to the line manager.
  • Ensure that annual maintenance contracts are in place and valid for identified services (e.g., fire alarm and fire safety system, housekeeping, pest control, gas system maintenance, waste management, facilities maintenance) and that services are availed as agreed in contracts.
  • Perform any other job or task assigned by the reporting manager to accomplish department objectives.
Education & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. Diploma in NEBOSH or any related technical certificates.

Experience

At least 3 years of experience in administering health & safety compliance in manufacturing sites along with experience in facility maintenance. Minimum 2 years of security management experience.
