HSE Lead (Located in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia)

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled HSE Lead to join our site in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain, and continuously improve Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and management systems across all project activities in compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations and applicable international standards.
  • Ensure full HSE compliance of all subcontractors in line with contractual obligations, company policies, and project-specific HSE requirements.
  • Plan and conduct HSE audits, risk assessments, site inspections, and incident/accident investigations, ensuring timely reporting and follow-up.
  • Support and guide construction teams in the preparation, review, and execution of heavy lifting plans, ensuring strict adherence to approved procedures and on-site controls.
  • Lead the investigation of incidents and accidents, prepare detailed reports, and ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Attend, lead, and actively contribute to internal and external HSE meetings, including delivering professional presentations to clients, consultants, and authorities when required.
  • Organize and deliver HSE trainings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings, promoting workforce awareness and competency.
  • Promote, embed, and sustain a proactive safety culture, ensuring visible leadership and continuous workforce engagement.
  • Coordinate closely with project management, construction, engineering, and subcontractor teams to ensure consistent HSE performance across all work fronts.
  • Develop, monitor, and report HSE KPIs, statistics, performance indicators, and action plans, providing regular management reports and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10–13 years of professional HSE experience, including at least 3 years of project experience in Saudi Arabia (KSA).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) – mandatory.
  • NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety – preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian HSE legislation, regulatory frameworks, and international HSE standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, coordination, and professional reporting skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer usage.
  • Hands-on experience with document control and project management platforms such as ACC, ACONEX, or similar systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural, high-risk construction environments with multiple stakeholders.
