Job Description

To ensure the effective implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across the Project site. The HSE Inspector is responsible for monitoring daily site activities, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring compliance with project‑specific safety standards, legal requirements, and company regulations. The role supports the HSE team in promoting a strong safety culture, minimizing risks, and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE plans, policies, and risk assessments for project activities.
  • Monitor compliance with safety procedures, permits, and environmental management plans.
  • Participate in incident and near‑miss investigations; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
  • Ensure that all workers and subcontractors follow established HSE procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for site personnel.
  • Maintain records of inspections, safety meetings, trainings, and incidents.
  • Support emergency preparedness drills and ensure emergency equipment is inspected and maintained.
  • Coordinate with the construction and supervision teams to ensure safe work practices.
  • Assist the HSE Manager in preparing weekly and monthly HSE performance reports.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent recognized qualification or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant HSE experience in construction projects (preferably large‑scale or infrastructure projects).
  • Certification in NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, or equivalent (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety audit processes.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills (English required; Arabic is an advantage).
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
