Job description
  • Support the project company in Contractor management activities, Implementing, monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on the management and performance of the Project Company HSSE management system, processes and plans.
  • Provide expert field support to Project Management and Construction Supervision teams on all HSSE-related matters.
  • Advise project and site personnel on legislative requirements, industry standards, best practices, and risk assessments to ensure workplace compliance.
  • Ensure consistent and effective implementation of the Project HSSE Plan across all site operations.
  • Coordinate and execute workplace inspection programs to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Conduct regular internal HSSE audits to assess compliance with established processes, procedures, and work practices.
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor activities to ensure adherence to HSSE management obligations.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly HSSE inspections, audits, and incident investigations to verify compliance with EPC contract requirements.
  • Lead and assist in the identification, assessment, and implementation of control measures for workplace hazards.
  • Review and evaluate EPC contractors' HSSE documentation, including Plans, Procedures, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments.
  • Ensure proper understanding and implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and associated procedures.
  • Assist in incident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and timely reporting with corrective actions.
  • Coordinate the collection, recording, and analysis of HSSE performance data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and revise HSSE induction and training programs for project personnel.
  • Conduct and participate in Toolbox Talks, HSSE committee meetings, and coordination sessions to promote safety awareness.
  • Disseminate HSSE-related lessons learned and best practices to Construction Supervision and site teams.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and analyze HSSE performance metrics, providing monthly reports to management.
  • Support the Project Team in maintaining stakeholder engagement on occupational health, safety, environmental, and security matters.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and project-specific HSSE requirements.
  • Implement and demonstrate an effective Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security Management System.
  • Continuously monitor and intervene to enforce EPC Contractor compliance with HSSE obligations.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through active engagement, training, and enforcement of HSSE policies.
Skills
  • Engineering Degree in Safety, Mechanical, electrical or equivalent experience with recognized Occupational Health and Safety formal training certificate.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH Certificates or equivalent.
  • ISO14001 & 45001 Lead Auditor Certificate.
