Job summary

A leading global dairy cooperative is seeking an HR & GRO Advisor in Riyadh. This role involves supporting daily HR functions, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, and maintaining worker engagement and morale. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in HR or related fields, strong communication skills, and 1-2 years of experience. Fluent in English and Arabic is a must. This position requires on-site work in a factory environment.

Job Title: HR & GRO Advisor
Reports To: HR Business Partner – OEM
Location: Riyadh (Saudi)

Ornua is a leading dairy co‑operative which sells premium dairy products globally on behalf of its Member Co‑operatives, Ireland’s dairy processors and, in turn, Irish dairy farmers.

Ornua has revenues of € billion and is supported by a global team of approximately 2,800 employees. The Group operates as a commercial organization across 10 business units, including 12 production facilities located in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa.

The commercial organization is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands including Ireland’s most successful food export: Kerrygold. Consumer markets are served by production facilities in Ireland, Germany and the UK and by in‑market Sales & Marketing Teams in Asia, Germany, Ireland, MEA, Poland, Spain, rest of Europe and North and Latin America.

It also manages the procurement of Irish and non‑Irish dairy products, the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers globally, and the implementation of de‑risking and trading strategies to manage market volatility. These activities are supported by production facilities and in‑market teams in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa.

The HR Executive will support the day‑to‑day human resources functions at the factory level, ensuring smooth execution of HR operations, compliance with Saudi labor laws, and alignment with company policies. This role requires a proactive, trustworthy individual who can act as a liaison between workers and management, maintain HR records, and help sustain a positive and compliant workplace culture.

Key Areas of Responsibilities
  • Employee Onboarding & Documentation
    • Assist in onboarding new workers, ensuring proper documentation (Iqama, medical tests, contracts, etc.)
    • Maintain and update employee records in the government portals such as QUWA, GOSI and HRD and the internal portal Bloom and People Doc.
  • Attendance & Payroll Support
    • Monitor daily attendance for employees and contractors and leave records.
    • Coordinate with the payroll/finance team for timely and accurate salary processing.
  • Labor Law Compliance
    • Ensure HR practices adhere to Saudi Labor Law, especially around working hours, wages, overtime, and termination procedures & Saudization.
    • Support audits and inspections from government authorities (HRSD, GOSI, etc.).
  • Employee Relations
    • Act as a point of contact for worker grievances.
    • Report issues to HR business partner and support resolution processes.
    • Support initiatives that improve worker engagement and morale.
  • HR Operations & Support
    • Assist in organizing training, health & safety programs, and welfare activities.
    • Support with disciplinary actions, warnings, and investigations as required.
  • Communication & Reporting
    • Maintain clear communication between the factory workforce and leadership.
    • Prepare and share HR dashboard and HR analysis.
