Job summary

Client of Eram Talent seeks a horticulture professional to care for indoor plant collections and manage greenhouse operations. You will support establishment, propagation, irrigation, nutrition, IPM, and environmental monitoring while maintaining records and displays.

Work closely with the Horticulturist, Botanic Garden Curator, and wider horticulture team to ensure high standards of plant health, sustainability, and visitor engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Botany, Plant Sciences, or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in indoor horticulture, indoor garden management, greenhouse, conservatory, or controlled growing environments.
• Experience in plant care, propagation, pruning, repotting, irrigation, and fertilisation.
• Experience with IPM and monitoring environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain indoor plant collections, displays, and greenhouse environments.
• Perform watering, pruning, repotting, fertilisation, propagation, and general plant maintenance.
• Monitor plant health, pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and stress.
• Support IPM and plant-health treatments.
• Maintain plant inventories, labels, databases, and horticultural records.
• Support plant propagation using seeds, cuttings, division, and other methods.
• Ensure high horticultural aesthetics and visitor-experience standards.
• Collaborate with horticulture teams, botanists, contractors.

Job description

The Indoor Gardens team is responsible for the care maintenance propagation and presentation of indoor plant collections and horticultural displays ensuring high standards of plant health horticultural quality sustainability and visitor experience The role involves practical and technical support in plant establishment propagation irrigation nutrition greenhouse operations environmental monitoring plant health and Integrated Pest Management IPM The position will also support plant inventory and records display maintenance pest and disease management and visitor-engagement activities while working closely with the Horticulturalist Botanic Garden Curator and wider horticulture team

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain indoor plant collections displays and greenhouse controlled growing environments
• Perform watering pruning repotting fertilisation plant replacement propagation and general plant maintenance
• Monitor plant health and identify pests diseases nutrient deficiencies and environmental stress
• Support and implement Integrated Pest Management IPM and appropriate plant-health treatments
• Monitor temperature humidity light ventilation irrigation growing media and plant nutrition
• Maintain plant inventories labels databases and horticultural records
• Support plant propagation using seeds cuttings division and other methods
• Maintain high horticultural aesthetic cleanliness and visitor-experience standards
• Support greenhouse operations indoor display maintenance and plant collection management
• Work with horticulture teams botanists contractors and other multidisciplinary teams

Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Botany, Plant Sciences, or a related discipline . Relevant experience in indoor horticulture, indoor garden management, greenhouse, conservatory, or controlled growing environments . Practical experience in plant care, propagation, pruning, repotting, irrigation, fertilisation, and plant maintenance. Experience identifying plant pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and environmental stress . Knowledge and practical experience with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) . Experience monitoring temperature, humidity, light, irrigation, ventilation, and growing conditions . Experience maintaining plant collections, horticultural displays, plant records, and inventories. Strong attention to detail, practical problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Experience in a botanic garden, greenhouse, conservatory, nursery, public garden, or similar horticultural facility is preferred.
