The Heavy Truck Driver will be expected to adhere to all safety regulations and maintain the highest standards of professionalism while on the road. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to quality service and possess excellent driving skills.

Responsibilities

1. Operate heavy trucks to transport goods and materials to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
2. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition and report any maintenance issues.
3. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur during transport.
4. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transit.
5. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that arise.
6. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation and safety.
7. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior, ensuring that it reflects the company’s standards.
8. Assist in training new drivers on safe driving practices and company policies.
9. Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and regulations.
