Role Description

Saudi Diyar Consultants is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Engineer to join its supervision team on a full‑time, on‑site basis in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards across project sites. The role requires close coordination with contractors, consultants, and project teams to ensure compliance with HSE regulations, minimize risks, and promote a safe working environment throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor HSE policies, plans, and procedures in accordance with project requirements and local regulations
  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and unsafe practices
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, Saudi Building Code, and relevant international HSE standards
  • Monitor contractor HSE performance and ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with preventive measures
  • Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs on site
  • Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and emergency response plans from an HSE perspective
  • Maintain HSE records, reports, and documentation in line with project and company requirements
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to promote a proactive safety culture and continuous HSE improvement
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Saudi Nationality (Mandatory)
  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience as an HSE Engineer, preferably on construction and supervision projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations, Saudi Building Code, and international standards (OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
  • Demonstrated experience in site safety supervision, audits, and incident investigation
  • Ability to review technical documents, method statements, and risk assessments
  • Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills
  • Professional HSE certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) are highly preferred
