Job description
Job Purpose

We are looking for the Head of Supply Chain for our client to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations across procurement, planning, warehousing, logistics, and distribution for a multi-unit F&B business. The role is accountable for cost efficiency, supplier performance, food safety compliance, inventory optimization, and uninterrupted supply to restaurants, commissaries, and central kitchens while supporting growth and margin targets.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Define and execute supply chain strategy aligned with business growth, expansion, and EBITDA targets
  • Build scalable supply chain infrastructure to support new store openings and market entry
  • Lead supply chain digitization (ERP, demand planning, WMS, supplier portals)
Procurement & Supplier Management
  • Develop sourcing strategies for food, non-food, packaging, and capex items
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, rebates, and SLAs to drive cost savings and quality assurance
  • Manage local and international suppliers, import regulations, and customs clearance where applicable
  • Ensure supplier compliance with food safety, halal, and regulatory standards
Planning & Inventory Control
  • Oversee demand forecasting, replenishment, and inventory optimization across all outlets
  • Reduce waste, shrinkage, and expiries while maintaining service levels
  • Implement SKU rationalization and menu-driven procurement efficiency
Warehousing & Logistics
  • Manage central warehouse(s), cold chain operations, and last-mile distribution
  • Optimize logistics routes, fleet performance, and delivery KPIs
  • Ensure business continuity and contingency planning for supply disruptions
Quality, Compliance & Risk
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, local municipality regulations)
  • Lead audits, traceability systems, and recall readiness
  • Proactively manage supply chain risks (price volatility, shortages, geopolitical disruptions)
Financial & Performance Management
  • Own supply chain budget, cost control, and working capital optimization
  • Track and report KPIs: COGS, service levels, inventory turns, waste %, supplier performance
  • Deliver continuous improvement and measurable cost savings year-on-year
Team Leadership
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing procurement, planning, and logistics teams
  • Establish clear governance, SOPs, and performance management frameworks
Candidate Profile
Experience
  • 12–15 years of supply chain experience, with strong F&B, QSR, or casual dining exposure
  • Proven leadership in multi-unit, high-volume environments
  • Experience managing central kitchens, warehouses, or commissaries is highly preferred
  • GCC or emerging-market experience is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong commercial acumen with deep understanding of food cost drivers
