Job description

Our client, a growing real-estate and development group in Saudi Arabia with multiple operating subsidiaries and ambitions for future market listing, is looking to appoint a Head of Finance (Job Code: L11-001).

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Finance will lead and develop the finance function, ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting, and provide the analysis and insight needed to support strategic decisions and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all financial and accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly closings and management reporting.
  • Prepare and review annual and periodic budgets, monitor performance and analyse variances.
  • Oversee the issuance of financial statements in line with IFRS and local regulations.
  • Manage costing, pricing, and financial efficiency analysis for projects and operations.
  • Approve journal entries, reconciliations, payment runs, payroll files and petty cash settlements.
  • Supervise cash management, banking relationships, and daily treasury operations.
  • Oversee Zakat and tax (VAT, CIT) compliance and timely filing of returns.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide all required data and documentation.
  • Review contracts from a financial perspective to ensure alignment with budgets and company policies.
  • Support the company’s readiness for potential listing and governance requirements from a finance standpoint.
  • Lead and coach the finance team, set objectives and evaluate performance.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, a master’s degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in finance, including at least 5 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi financial and tax regulations.
  • Professional certifications such as SOCPA, CPA, CMA, CFA (or equivalent) are preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience in budgeting, financial analysis, reporting and working with auditors, banks and regulators.
  • Previous exposure to governed environments or companies preparing for listing is a plus.
  • Advanced financial analysis and planning skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal stakeholders, auditors, banks and regulators.
  • High attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with strong integrity and governance mindset.
