The METAPSA regional communications team plays an integral role in TikTok's global storytelling and forms an essential part of a connected and growing team in the global communications function.

We are hiring a Head of Communications for Saudi Arabia to strengthen our presence and reputation in one of our most important countries. This role blends strategy and hands‑on execution : you'll shape the narrative, but you'll also be the one who makes sure it lands. The right candidate deeply understands the Saudi landscape, has meaningful media, industry and policy relationships, and can bring clarity, judgement and momentum in a fast‑moving environment. The role is based in Riyadh with some travel.

  • Develop campaigns and narratives that directly support business and reputation objectives, with clear metrics and accountability.
  • Bring strong market intelligence and relationship depth to guide senior leaders and cross‑functional teams on how to navigate Saudi's media, cultural and policy landscape.
  • Secure and manage priority speaking, media and stakeholder opportunities, preparing spokespeople with the context and confidence they need.
  • Maintain a strong, active network of senior journalists, editors, commentators and other influential voices, leveraging these relationships to support both proactive storytelling and rapid response when needed.
  • Lead issues and crisis response for Saudi Arabia, providing steady counsel, clear decisions and coordinated execution.
  • Track media, policy and industry developments to spot both opportunities and early signs of risk.
  • Manage PR and agency partners with a high bar for quality, accuracy and speed.
  • Support regional comms priorities when required, especially during escalations or major moments.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in communications or PR, with proven experience operating in complex, high‑stakes environments.
  • Fluent level Arabic to operate in the market and fluent English, with excellent writing, editing and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A well‑established network of senior media and opinion leaders in Saudi Arabia.
  • Ability to both set strategy and execute it independently, with strong judgement and a bias for action.
  • Highly organised, detail‑focused, and able to balance multiple priorities without losing momentum.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Tech experience is a plus but not required.
