JOB PURPOSE / ROLE:
An independent yet supportive business partnering role to drive business performance across the Retail Bank through insightful data, MIS, forecasts and analysis. Focus will include but not limited to customer and product level sales and attrition. Track and manage the overall performance and productivity of all sales channels, develop and implement reward and incentive schemes for channels and ensure alignment of actual performance with set targets for successful achievement of objectives. Proactively call out underperformance. Closely aligned to the business finance section and processes.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Policies, Processes & Procedures
- Implements approved departmental policies, processes, procedures and provides instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
Strategy
- Contributes to the development of divisional strategy, ensures translation and alignment through the design of value adding plans, MI and incentive processes.
Business Performance
- Works with the business to set stretching yet achievable plans and targets at the lowest level required that are aligned to the financial plan and KPIs of the Retail Bank. Work closely with the finance team.
- Measures the delivery of the business plan through insightful data and analysis, providing guidance on mitigants to risks and opportunities to over achieve on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
- Contributes to business cases and finance plans.
- Develops an integrated balanced scorecard connecting the top level KPIs to the lowest level KPIs.
- Seeks and delivers on opportunities for quick wins to deliver insightful MIS to key stakeholders at pace.
- Automation of data and MIS.
- Contributes to business data requests to service internal and external needs.
- Delivery of competitor and market insights.
- All processes and outputs to be carried out in a controlled environment with data controls in place.
Incentive Scheme
- Design incentive plans in collaboration with business and sales team that aligns with the sales strategy as well as supplements achieving divisional set targets.
- Plan and coordinate implementation of incentive plan for all channels and sales force.
- Design and develop tools for the field to calculate and project incentive compensation pay outs.
Continuous Improvement & Change management
- Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, automation of required information essential for performance management.
- Assesses the impact of introduced changes to people, process and systems and develops relevant communication and awareness initiatives to support the effective implementation of change.
Reporting
- Prepares all relevant performance management and KPI reports required to carry out the function role efficiently and effectively.
Committees & Meetings
- Represents the function and actively contributes in various committees/meetings (internal and external), engagement with sakes channels and network as applicable and per authority levels in order to ensure relevant matters are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
People Management
- Ensures all staff have clear objectives, regular performance feedback sessions, formal annual appraisals, and individual development plans, with particular emphasis on the development of talented Saudi national staff.
- Ensures and facilitates the employment, training and development of Saudi nationals within the organization.
- Supervise the activities and work of team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area performance management and incentive scheme domain.
- Eliminate key person risk in the department through cross-cover and documentation of processes.

- Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business with preferably a specialization in Finance or Business Strategy
Minimum Experience:
- 10 - 15 years relevant experience in banking including at least 3 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities
Language:
Technical Knowledge areas:
- Knowledge in Retail Banking products and services
- MIS, data modelling and analysis
- Extensive knowledge of business performance assessment and pinpointing areas of improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office (excel and power point)
