Job Summary
The Specialist, Graphic Designer is responsible for leading communication and public relations (PR) efforts through the creation of visual assets that support brand messaging. In addition to their design duties, they manage PR materials, press kits, and media content, ensuring alignment with marketing and communications strategies. The Specialist ensures that all creative outputs are consistent with the brand identity, innovating visual designs, and collaborating closely with teams to enhance public perception and media presence.
About the Role
Visual Design & Brand Messaging
- Lead the design of visual assets, including graphics, logos, advertisements, and digital content, ensuring they align with the brand's identity and messaging.
- Create compelling designs for both online and offline media, ensuring a consistent visual language across all marketing materials.
- Innovate and push the boundaries of visual design to develop unique and engaging assets that enhance brand perception and support communications goals.
Public Relations Materials Management
- Manage the creation and distribution of PR materials, including press kits, media content, and company publications.
- Ensure that all PR materials align with the company’s brand identity and marketing objectives.
- Work with PR teams to craft visual content for media outreach and public communications.
Collaboration & Cross-functional Work
- Work closely with the marketing, communications, and PR teams to ensure that all visual outputs align with broader marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create designs that meet specific campaign goals and enhance communication efforts.
- Partner with media relations teams to produce eye-catching visuals for press releases, media campaigns, and public announcements.
Brand Consistency & Innovation
- Ensure all visual content is consistent with the brand’s guidelines and standards.
- Continuously explore new design trends, tools, and techniques to innovate and elevate the visual brand presence.
- Provide creative input to enhance the organization’s visual storytelling in both traditional and digital media.
Project Management & Delivery
- Manage multiple design projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals.
- Coordinate with external vendors, photographers, and agencies for specialized creative services and media content production.
- Ensure that all design projects meet quality standards and are delivered within budget and on schedule.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Track and measure the effectiveness of visual assets in supporting marketing and PR goals, gathering feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve designs.
- Report on the success of creative projects and suggest improvements based on performance metrics and team feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in graphic design, with a focus on marketing, PR, or communications. Experience with brand management and media content creation is a plus.
- Certifications in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) may be required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
