Overview – Role

We are hiring Graduates to join our team of talented fire engineers in the Middle East, in particular Saudi Arabia, and in this role, you will be able to work across various aspects of fire safety consulting ranging from preparing fire strategies in co‑ordination with the engineering design team to the inspection and assessment of fire safety management and protection measures in existing & new buildings/facilities.

This position may be based at any of our Middle Eastern locations : Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Doha (Qatar), Al Khobar (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), or Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). This role offers the chance to work in a fast‑paced environment and advance your career within a supportive and diverse team, offering opportunities to liaise with designers and other construction and building professionals on a wide range of projects. You will be able to experience and develop your ability to use fire‑specific design software, conduct research in a variety of skill groups, and have the opportunity to visit sites to monitor the implementation of fire strategies while being involved in the installation and construction of key fire safety systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support in developing general fire strategies for various building types and at various stages.
  • Support in carrying out fire safety site inspections and witnessing of systems throughout the construction phase of projects.
  • Support in conducting fire safety risk assessments of existing buildings.
  • Support in the preparation of relevant documentation such as presentations, reports, sketches, drawings, etc.
  • Liaison with the design team, clients, local approving authorities, contractors and other third parties as required.
  • Short‑term travel as required in the Middle East region.
  • Utilize fire engineering software packages, maintaining quality standards and support the Fire Team as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Graduates who are currently pursuing or have recently completed a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Building Services Engineering.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, interpersonal and presentation skills (able to provide evidence/example of own work, if requested).
  • Experience with Autodesk software such as Revit, Navisworks or AutoCAD.
  • Ability to work individually or as a part of a team, rise to professional challenges, and endeavour to be an integral part of the long‑term growth of Jensen Hughes in the Middle East.
  • Willingness to become professionally qualified as a chartered Fire Engineer.
  • Be ready to travel within the Middle East (KSA predominantly) as required, to meet project requirements.
