Job description

The Government Relations Officer (GRO) is responsible for managing and coordinating all interactions between the company and government entities in Saudi Arabia. This role ensures full compliance with local labor, immigration, and regulatory requirements by handling official documentation, processing governmental transactions, and maintaining effective relationships with relevant authorities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary liaison between the company and government entities (e.g., MHRSD, GOSI, Jawazat, ZATCA, and other relevant authorities).
  • Process and follow up on all transactions related to work visas, Iqama issuance and renewal, exit/re-entry visas, and other immigration requirements for employees.
  • Handle registrations, updates, and ongoing compliance on key government platforms such as Qiwa, GOSI, Muqeem, Mudad, and Absher, in coordination with HC and Finance.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes by ensuring completion of all required government procedures, documentation, and clearances.
  • Coordinate the issuance, renewal, and amendment of commercial registrations, licenses, chamber of commerce certificates, and other company-related permits as needed.
  • Prepare, submit, and track official letters, forms, and documentation required by government authorities, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Monitor changes and updates in Saudi labor law, immigration regulations, and relevant government policies, and highlight any impact on the company’s operations.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all government-related documents and transactions, ensuring confidentiality and ease of retrieval.
  • Arrange visits to government offices, service centers, and other external agencies when required to complete processes or resolve issues.
  • Support inspections, audits, or official visits by government authorities and represent the company in a professional manner during these interactions.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with key contacts at government entities and external service providers (e.g., PRO/GRO service firms).
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 1–2 years of experience in a Government Relations, HR Operations, or similar role in Saudi Arabia.
  • Good knowledge of basic HR and government procedures, with exposure to platforms such as Qiwa, GOSI, Muqeem, Mudad, and Absher considered an advantage.
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple requests at the same time.
  • Good communication skills in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
